The frontman for U2, Bono, the Irish rocker, had been caught walking along with famous friends of his, one of whom is Oprah Winfrey, one of the world’s most famous talk show host. The two had been caught walking together down the road of the “Magnificent Mile” in Chicago. The event took place on October 12, 2006, Thursday. The two were walking together in an attempt to promote Bono’s new lineups from the brand Red. These lineups will be put on sale in the weeks to come via Emporio Armani, Converse, Motorola, Apple and Gap. Fifty percent of the sales made by Gap will be donated to fight AIDS in the country of Africa.
Another famous friend of Bono’s is Paul McCartney, a very famous musician. McCartney was seen together with Bono backstage during the event “Live 8 London” which took place in Hyde Park. This event took place on July 2, 2005. The event was designated to be a free concert and was one among ten international gigs that were carried out simultaneously. The locations include Paris, Rome, Cornwall, Tokyo, Johannesburg, Barrie, Berlin, Philadelphia, and Moscow.
